Hello forum
I have a 150G South American community tank with focus on Discus. I trying to grow Radican Swords but experiencing challenges.
I run 4 Eheims and an Fx6 and one Eheim is loaded with ChemiPure Elite.
The swords have holes and are melting often. I break off bad leaves and new ones grow but the bad leaves are unattractive and the frequency of melting is increased lately.
I've used Seachem Excel, and the blend together. I recently added iron and as of today also Potassium. I'm also using Seachem root tabs and don't know what else to do. The substrate is a mixture of 3 part gravel and one part sand. .
Is it possible all that chemical filteration which works wonders on creating crystal clear water may be removing macro nutrients.
I have 5 juvenile Trapajos who rummage around roots and I have to fix but problems existed before the were brought in.
The tank has been running since July.
