5.5 gal tank need ideas of new setup

I have 5.5gal sitting around and i want to do a planted shrimp setup maybe and afew fish and plecos but dont know anything about planted or shrimp tanks
any ideas and advice?

What part of town are you in? Tank is a bit small to do fish and plecos (especially plecos).

What kind of filters/ideas do you have in mind?

What kind of lighting do you have in mind? I am running a low tech 5 gallon planted tank for a while and have had great results. I use one of the daylight spiral cfl bulbs (13 watts i think)

Stick with easy low light plans such as anubias, java fern, java mass, crypts, and vals,

Filtration I have just a regular internal HOB filter that came with the set. Fish wish I have a few neon tetras. Only ave to do minimal water changes and top offs. Tank really does take are of itself. Works well and I have never had a problem.
