  • When to prune ?

So my Amazon Sword put out a runner with two plants on it. Ive never done it before, here are pics of both. When can I trim ?

I havent pruned mine at all yet but my wisteria has runners all over the place. its like a bush with runners now. i would think wait until there a a few runners and clip underneath? its probably what i will do with mine when i get the time.

      Tricky question.

It really comes down to preferance

-Assuming you want to keep the plantlets, prune when you feel they will be viable plants to be planted on their own.
-If you don't want to keep them, don't let the runners start at all.
-alternativly you can leave them for a while. If you have the open area (negative space) I like to look. I tend to keep open top systems so I like to see the runners flower and then see the fish swiming through the root structures.
