Snails, good and bad.

I got a already planted and stocked tank from Eklikwow(spelling?) And there are a ton of snails in it and alot of eggs on the leaves. Can you please tell me what they are, and whether I need to get rid of any species.

Also some of them seems to be very buoyant, and they are getting sucked up in to the AC 20 HOB filter even on the lowest settings. Why would they float around the tank?

Buoyant one, this thing was trying to walk on the surface tension in the middle of the tank.

They are all good...the first one is a Nerite which is super good stuff!

The second is a pond snail and the last two are ramshorns.....the eggs in the last picture are from the Nerite so they will never hatch since they only hatch in brackish water.

Not sure why they're being sucked up into the filter, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. They'll pretty much go anywhere they can, including the surface.  :)

I have the same problem with being sucked into the filter grates.....they cruise along it foraging and then get their guts sucked right into the filter.
