Thanks the ludwigia in background grow the fastest they are already at the top of the water line, need to do some trimming and replanting.

Try Jungle Val. it grows fast and tall. It can give cover and brake lines of site.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping to have someone chime in about about a river bank or dry lake bed or something around Houston.

i usually get them at the local rock yard. I don't believe there is a natural stream in Houston where you can pick some up.

Don't buy river rocks at Petsmart. Go to the rock yard that sells them for landscaping. Much cheaper. Like 15 cents/lbs.
