Oh! How cool, that was how mine looked too. I didn't even know that Anubias flowered until it happened in my tank.

It's a nice treat for all the work, though I admit what I do for the plants isn't a lot.
how long did yours flower for

It stayed flower for few weeks and then another one started after the first one started dying.

It's been a little since last update but not much has changed, ghost shrimp are multiplying well, got rid of as many as I could catch of the mollies, red cherry shrimp are berried, still dealing with green spot algae. Algae isn't getting any worse though since changing the lighting schedule. I thinned out the ghost shrimp herd a little, gave a few to a friend along with some mollies. My last wood shrimp has sorta changed colors, it was kind of white but now almost has the color of a blue velvet shrimp which is neat. I have mostly paying attention to my daughters saltwater tank. I did manage to get in my tank and do a spot of trimming the anacharis, it was about that time anyways.

Tank is looking a little ragged so I'm going to do a bit of work this weekend. Mostly I'll be cleaning but I'm seriously considering ripping out a lot of anacharis. A lot of their lower stalks are dying or just discolored so I'll pull out roughly 75% of it leaving a corner for the shrimp. Then I'll take the anacharis I pull out and cut off the new growth/healthy ends and replant them. As they take hold I'll finish the last 25%. I'm only concerned with removing too much at one time cause the shrimp rely on the anacharis for shelter and some food. I'm done with the hairgrass, it grew a little and spread at first but not enough to get excited about, kinda glad too cause iv never done a thorough gravel vacuuming since I planted the stuff. I'll have to make a trip and pick up some root tabs aswell. It's gonna be a long weekend I fear.

Had an oopsy...dropped one of my lights in the tank. I panicked a bit but hit the switch on my surge protector. Light shorted out but all the inhabitants don't seem to be affected. Now iv got to get another ballast, could have been worse though.

i went to homedepot today and wired in a new ballast, all is up and running. I spent all day ripping out anacharis and clipping off healthy stalks. Got it replanted with some fresh root tabs in place. I'm tired!

How's this for the perfect ending to a craptacular day, I see for the first time a baby red cherry shrimp only to witness it's last moments as a glow light tetra swallows it whole. Nature can be such an a-hole.
