One more consideration is the volume of water in the aquarium. In a larger tank, the fertilizer that solubilizes in the water will be diluted. Keep in mind further dilution takes place with the routine water changes.

90 gal tank 4 ft long fully planted how many 00 gelatin capsules would you put in a tank that size? and how often?
Are you referring to the pink bag or the one on Amazon, the bags with capsules in a zip lock bag? The the zip lock bags make me feel like they can put anything in there. I'm willing to make my own, I just don't know what and where I need to get the clear capsules from. Also what is the ingredients in there?

That's nice to hear someone who uses that product. I agree 1$ for 1 capsule is crazy crazy. Somebody is making a lot of money off of the root tabs.

Ok. I found a site on Amazon. I bought the 00 capsules. I will try them out and watch for not to overdose.
Wow! 100. For $10.88. This should last a long time. I will only be testing in the high tec tank.

Gelatin capsules are generally beef, fish or plant derived. They are all soluble in water. I don't have a personal preference.
