Hello everyone, new guy here. I have a 30g planted tank with 2 t8s from my old 20g. They work good for most of the plants but are too short and the light does not reach the corners very well and the plants there are starting to get stragley. I've been browsing led light and came across this.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019Y...=APGLUTFSIU1LH I couldn't find to much info as to how good it is, the price seems a little to good to be true lol. Does anyone know if it is a good light or should I look elsewhere?

Its a bit weak on PAR, especially in a deeper tank like a 30. I'd look at a dual T5 fixture from TopDogsellers, or a 3W Cree LED from them. Finnex makes some amazing fixtures as well, the Ray2 and Planted + from Current are both solid fixturesIn the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Alright thanks. I'll check those out when i get off work. I liked the idea of the led fixtures cause of the moonlight setting most of them come with, from pictures it looks quite nice. And my tank is only 16" deep as opposed to the 24" most 30g tanks are, would that change anything or is that light just that bad?

Not saying LEDs are a bad idea but when it comes to LEDs you get what you pay for. I don't suggest going cheap. I looked at all my options for my planted tank, in the end I choose t5ho. The reason being is I could get the parts free and retrofit my existing t8 fixtures to t5ho. It was a fun project for me. When choosing you want to make sure it will support the needs of your plants. LEDs make sure it's a full spectrum fixture and has the par output for the plants selected. With t5ho you want the fixture to be as long as your tank or as close as you can get. You also want the light to cover the whole tank with even light. Of course that goes for LEDs aswell. A 3 or 4 lamp fixture would prolly suffice for t5. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QVH...WaL&ref=plSrch
link to a decent led option.

Thanks crush. That light you linked look nice, but i just can't afford that right now :/. I really can't spend much more than $75, which i know is much less than ideal and limits me greatly. But i did find these 2.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019E...sea&th=1&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019E...sea&th=1&psc=1 would the quad be a bit overkill for a 12" wide tank?

I just wish the leds weren't so dang expensive, all i want from them is moonlighting, but its not worth another $60-$80! Hahaha
