thanks guys, i am in love with this tank, i wanted to get shrimps but didn't think they would survive the cycle, i guess i could have gotten some used media, but i didn't want to bring anything from my other tanks and because of ADA leaching so much ammonia the cycling process was faster than other tanks

yes i want to install the calaqua so bad, but i want to take my time and not rush and break it or if priming becomes a problem after i install i wanted to have enough time to fix that

but i did do one thing, i moved my angels from my 30gallon to here, i am so proud of them and i think they are one of the best looking angles i have seen around (minus nice altums), here's a few pix

Wow :)  I love the pictures you have :)   I am still thinking that I need to do the same thing with regards to a planted tank..    Man you are making me jealous... hehe :)

thanks edm, these angels have been with me for 4 months or so i would say, they were juvis when i got them and now sub-adults i would say, they got along just fine in my 30gallon with occasional quarrel w/o any specific dominant one, interestingly since i got them in this tank yesterday, all of a sudden they are fighting more, i noticed this morning one of them have pretty much become the top dog (actually the one in the last picture above) and he is chasing two others all over, but courting one of them, i guess they are pairing!?!  its very interesting to see this behavior all of a sudded based on their tank change!  we will see where that goes

another development, i don't see any snails in the tank anymore - i guess the puffers have been eating!  but unfortunately i noticed both puffers going after my angel fins this morning, i wanted to see if it was "isolated incident", but noticed the little buggers were persistent, they didn't bother the danio/white cloud/cories/even the bright blue betta, but i guess the angel fins were just very tempting, so i had to move them to my 6.6 gallon desktop tank by themselves, i was going to dicommision that tank, so i have to decide if i can actually deal with their dietery needs, if i can't i will return to dan, wish they were more compatiable with my angel community

as i have mentioned before, i am planning on having one shoal (20+) of some schooling fish in this 65 gallon, after many thoughts and research i have narrowed it down to a few choices, i wish there was a way to poll, but wanted to see what you guys think is the best choice from these and then i will make a decision, they are in order of my current preference

1) Harlequin Rasbora
2) Rummy Nose
3) Cardinal Tetra
4) Black Neon Tetra

I like your first choice, the Harlequin Rasboras. My next vote would be Cardinals. There is no scientific reasoning behind that vote.   That being said, I have HEARD that black neons won't school as tightly as the others. Also, I've HEARD that Rummynose can be a bit finicky. (So can cardinals, for that matter - a QT candidate if there ever was one.) Harlequins are very peaceful, and will school beautifully in larger numbers.

I like the way the rummy nose tetra's look and I also like the cardinal tetra's. Why not get a dozen of two species? I think that would look cool.

i have thought of two different shoals, but for a long while i have been wanting a big shoal, i have seen some big shoals (50+) and they look stunning, i can't quite do 50+ here, but i think i can comfortably do 25+, so i want to stick one because based on size of the tank, i want to have this one shoal moving around, but maybe once the tank matures in about 6 months, i can add another shoal of something, for now - angels, checkerboards (still have not moved them from my 30g), cories, ocats, and my big shoal of something, o yes, also plan on a pair of apisto or bolivian rams (if i find a good pair somewhere)
