Congrats on the corkscrew val. It makes the tank IMO.
You didn't decide to put C02 on this tank did you?
Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
no the tank is perfectly natural, i add no fertilizers and no co2, thanks for the feedback. and i should have runners of some of the plants and maybe some of the baby swords at the next lake houston swap. possibly some of the crypts if they are spreading well enough.

well i did it they are in. i got the 6 Apisto cacatoids from armthehomeless into my 60 and they look great. the 50/50 bulb power compact brings out a lot of blues in the dominant males' colors. i have 2 males and 4 females. cant wait to see if they spawn. would love to see what that bulb would bring out in some nice borelli.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
if anyone is interested some of the vals are up for trade or cheap sale cus i need to prune back more. hornwort is also available, i dont have enough najas grass for trade yet. im gonna post in market too.

WELL i havent posted on this tread in a long time mostly because my tank hasnt had anything added to it much. there is no new picture because the tank is just full of grean (needs major pruning cant wait for next swap). things that will be brought from tank to next swap will be more najas (just a few bags) some crypts, and more vals (corkscrew this time) but i had a major setback with the tank. to those in the know i had 6 apisto cacatoids in the tank (triple red) and they have been doing fine for months. well i was gonna take my dominant male out and put him and 2 girls in a 29 gal set up just for them to breed in. and Scott was gonna get the other trio. well i hate to say this but 5 out of the 6 just dropped dead. no change in water chemistry, nothing wrong with the tank. no other fish died either. it just baffles me. they all dropped in a weeks time. as of yesterday i had 1 male left. so i am going to still set up that 29 and put him in and get him some girls from fishranch if he is still kicking. Sorry Scott but no apistos for u, unless you get ur own. i tried man they were good for 4 months no probs. if anyone has any suggestions as to what happened let me know.
