    Phoenix Moss - Fissidens fontanus
Haven't seen it around here but you might try on the north east side (90 & beltway 8 ) around the Sheldon Resevoir.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Man that's some nice looking moss.  I wouldn't mind getting some of that for my shrimps.  Let me know if you find any.  Personally, I haven't seen that in Houston anywhere.

I think the sp. that is found here is something totally different.

dude you always bring stuff like this up.  It's hard me to take it when I don't have a tank running!

If you're ever in San Antonio, there's some in San Marcos. I collected a bit of it just this May.  :)
