Couple of bucks.

Many people on here have some.  Just post a WTB Val Thread or something along those lines.  I've known some to give some for free... :)

Besides,  I know its not the same as catching fish for your tanks but I'd still quarrantine(Spelling?) and treat any thing from the local waterways for a week.  Nothing like introducing something unwanted into your tank.

I've got sagittaria subuluta that grows tall in med and high lt tanks, and forms a low, slow-growing carpet in low lt tanks. Looks a lot like val but has smaller, less brittle leaves than val.
