  • I have fry

Well it happened again, not too long ago, I found 3 tetra fry in my planted tank, now they are half grown, but today, I spotted another little tetra fry dashing out from under the plants to grab some flake food and making a speedy retreat.  Then I saw some black molly fry and now some other fry.  Green molly fry from black parents ???  I would love to scoop them up and put them in a grow out tank but,
the only thing harder than trying to catch cichlid fry in a rocky tank is trying to catch tetra fry in a planted tank.
Does anyone make waterproof fly paper ?
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

8O  Not sure if that would be good for the little guys.   I forget - what kind of tetras?

    Congrats, by the way!

            Re: I have fry

I got half a dozen Red & blue tetras at the HAS auction last year when I was setting up my planted Oceanic 55+
They have grown to about 3" and get along well with my Austrailian, turquoise, black neon tetras, 4" black mollies, pearl gouramis & my CAK crew.

              Re: I have fry

red blue columbian tetras, one of my favs. i especially love when they get the longer top fins. they are soo much similar to black skirt tetras in body shape that they probably are closely related and those have been bred in captivity for decades. congrats or ur success. i love mine that i have, they get big and arent too nippy, and they look really cool with color similar to praecox rainbows. but not quite so shiny.
