i want different tall plants completely covering the sides and back of the tank, and various smaller plants filling in about 3/4 of the bottom of the tank.

my oto's get 3 algae tabs every other day 8)  and i have been havin massive algae growth 8O

i think its because of the light.

its a 28 watt, and i am not getting the brown algae, its that hairy algae and it was covering my plants 8O  the otos made short work of it i love these little guys, my plants nd everything else in the tank is SPOTLESS!  they do very very good work.

they are good as long as they get fed, i had problem with my planted tank for a while, i got 2 of those, they ate all the algea... then they died because there wasn't anything to feed on anymore other then whats leftover from my shrimp's feeding...

I'd do something along those lines too, if I thought I'd be here another year, but our lease is up in April, and if our economy doesn't turn around by then, I will be moving from this warehouse, into a smaller one.
