j/k, those are just pond snail, they make really really good food for your puffer,  you should let the snail take over ur tank first, then add the pea puffer...  i am about to setup a snail only tank to feed my puffers...

Yea, I set up a tank this week and I already have some of those critters.
Don't know if they came from the driftwood, the plants or the gravel,
but my clown loach THE SNAIL TERMINATOR is helping me cycle the tank
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

nice, i think my 5" clown loach might be alittle distructive in my heavily planted 10g
hes alittle crazy, but is an awesome, funny, cute fish
i have had him longer than any other fish.
i have had him 3.5 years. when i got him he was less than an 1"tl.
hes just under 5" tl now.

Re: what kind of snail is this?

you should just leave the snail alone, what did they ever do to you?  other then sucking out your brain at middle of nite, lol
anyways, since your getting some pea puffers, those makes good food, mts is good too, but once they reach a good size, its too hard for the pea puffer to eat it...
