C1409, this is why I rescaped... when I initially started up the tank i purchased/sourced any macro I thought I would like and grew them. Now after all this time I got first hand view of how each of the macro species would grow in the tank's setting so it was time for a rescape and removal of certain species.

The macro you see on the substrate only grew over the stumps of LR and back into the substrate with heavy rooting. The rest does not smother the LR but either "fan" out from where it has adhered or grew like mushrooms/parasol so it still shows some LR in which I plan to keep trimmed.

Also, I still need to find a few more "choice" pieces of LR and as I find some that meet the criteria it will be added and there will be some points that will emersed so that would also force the macro to not grow towards those points since light will be blocked.
