Too much light??

I have an Coralife Light Fixture but with (4)10,000k Bulbs is that too much for a Standard 55g

Don't have nothing in there YET but will have some HC,Ricca,Java moss,Rotala rotund and a few others...

I personally don't think it's too much... bit more then what most start off with but not too much.

if ur not plaing on having co2, then i would maybe turn off one bulb... but that means HC has to go...  but you can pretty much grow anything if you go pressureized co2...

Oh well had my old set up with the 2- 10,000k bulbs on hc was growing toooooo slow even with the co2 :evil:   but the rest of the plants were doing GREAT and i thought it wasn't enough light, only problem was the substrate the Amazonia 2 sucked got all muddy after the year i had it now trying the Aquaplants.com one will see how it does

Might have been to rough with the aquasoil.... Mike Senske has done like 7+ scapes with the same substrate for his office tank and it looks fantastic.

I also believe i was too rough with it since i was workin a lottttt and one day left it out in the SUN!!!! forgot about it and after that it was just like loose dirt also after sooo many water changes would be my guess
