    does anyone know if Dracaena sanderiana aka lucky bamboo can be kept in brackish water?

    That i know the lucky bamboo should be kept in good clean water and not fully submerged

      i know they are not to be submerged... i am talking about brackish water...

        Use mangroves, I don't think they can tolerate brackish water conditions well.

          i was going to use mangroves... but they need high lights, and that means higher bill and summer is comming... i don't think thats good idea....

            Well, I did not know that; OK so what type of light are you using, substrate, is this a paludarium? Or you just want to have a plant filter?
            BTW you can still grow mangroves if the color temp is enough to promote photosynthesis, now you may not like the color but is doable.

              They do not need that much lighting.......trust me.

              I have seen way too many black and red mangroves grow big and healthy in reefer's sumps with small indacescent lighting. I have some healthy mangroves growing in my sump on my Tropheus tank right now and I have a 2x9w fixture hanging over the sump.

                I was going to suggest the mangroves too.lol but then i thought about it and was like"Well he's only asking about the bamboo"...lol:)

                  its going to be in my 55 mud skipper tank... its going to have 1/4 land area with about 20 - 25ish g water in it... i was going to go all plastic, but i remember how much i hated those...
