Well, I did not know that; OK so what type of light are you using, substrate, is this a paludarium? Or you just want to have a plant filter?
BTW you can still grow mangroves if the color temp is enough to promote photosynthesis, now you may not like the color but is doable.

They do not need that much lighting.......trust me.
I have seen way too many black and red mangroves grow big and healthy in reefer's sumps with small indacescent lighting. I have some healthy mangroves growing in my sump on my Tropheus tank right now and I have a 2x9w fixture hanging over the sump.700g Mini-Monster tank
