Has anyone seen a Mbu puffer for sale at any lfs other than Fish R Us? I have been looking for one for awhile now that is a small size but can't seem to get any. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

Wow! That cheap! The closest LFS is Fish R Us and they would charge me a ton cause they have some in store but are charging over $200 for them. (Won't pay due to poor health they are in)Merritt Adkins

I ended up getting one from Fondren Fish and Pets. I wanted to get one from Fish Ranch II but they didn't have any in. He is kinda not happy right now but when he is, I will put up some great pics. :-)

Hey, the mbu died today. I am not sure if my kitty got him or if he jumped out of the tank. Since I have never heard of a mbu jumping, I am suspecting my cat. I do not think I will get another one for a long time.Merritt Adkins

Sorry to hear that. But don't blame it on the cat. They are known jumpers. Especially when small. They can get spooked easy and zoom across the tank, then they take a flying leap! I have lids on my puffer tanks. If I didn't have a lid I'm sure Annabelle (fahaka) would have jumped out a long time ago. Just the other day I was bent down in front of the tank, I stood up and heard a loud thump! I looked at Annabelle and she had this dazed look on her face. She saw me stand up and hit the lids! I felt bad for her, but she was watching me and she knew I was there!
Keep an eye on craigslist, sometimes somebody will list one for adoption. I've seen one on there a while back. It outgrew the tank and the owner didn't want to upgrade. I would have taken it but I didn't have a large enough tank.A house without a puffer is not a Home.
