since mbu's are wild caught, you have to treat them for internal parasites. I had to do the same with my fahaka. I'll pm you a link fot the stuff I used. it worked like a charm

Nice fish. I love them guys but have had trouble keeping them alive. Maybe the worms could have been the problem.

                    a good article to read..
like steven mentioned, mbu are wild...so its better to deworm them..
if you do it right..its most likely one time deal..as long as you dont feed them primarily live food.
but make sure you do it while the puffer is in good health condition..
personally i would not try to deworm it the first month when i get it..
like most mbu in the lfs..they are pretty skinny...so its better to try to feed them up a little, than deworm it..
when i do it i just use some metros to soak the food, then just simply feed them and the next day u might see some nasty stuffs..
but sometimes u dont cuz maybe ur mbu is not really parasite..
but just do it one time anyway to eliminate any possible..
and wut are u feeding now?? mbu grow crazily fast...
mine grew like 1 in per month in the first 6 month or so...

                      awesome puffer!
i would consider getting a top for that tank.
it looks like it doesnt have one?
