nice setup. love the 7in filter sock, and that puffer is awesome, teasing him with that shrimps just mean he looks lonely though he needs some tank mates maybe some neon tetras)

Yeah, It was a joke! I know it's a filter sock, but don't understand how it is working there. W/D water from overflows normally go directly into fitting on the top tray, then media and/or socks are used? No. Certainly looks like you have plenty of mechanical,chemical and bio material in there-that's for sure. Looks good!

it does look kinda weird...that's because that sump is design for salt water set up...so i just raise bio balls up with egg crate...
and also it is a single intake sump...but i used a dual overflow...so i just put two hose inside the filter sock... thats why i got that big old filter sock..lol...
then i have to make a drip plate with a piece of acrylic board that match the size of the first chamber..then drilled a bunch little holes evenly...that kinda took me a little while...cause somehow the acrylic board cracks so easily in my hand..lol..
