Ours took 2 months to settle in once they move tanks. Moves seem to get them agitated and it just takes a little while for them to calm back down. Watch your Nitrates, they are very sensitive and a rising Nitrate level will get them in an unpleasant mood. They enjoy burying themselves in sand and eating snails. Crawfish are another good option and most grocery stores sell them on the weekends this time of year. Try thawing the shrimp with a bit of garlic, it helps knock out IPs and they love the taste of it.

Nitrates is fine. I'm keeping him in a planted tank. I'll try the garlic thing. He's still too small to be eating crawfish.

Keep an eye on manslayer cuz as he starts getting a little bigger hes gonna get territorial with that oscar. i have my money on the Fahaka. Had to get rid of the other fish in my tank but the puffer is totally worth it. Thats the same place i got mine. He has doubled in size in 3 months
Could use a dash of salt......

120 gallon Fahaka, Gar, Catfish, 2 dwarf graumi, 2 cichlid

            30 gallon salt

            10 gallon baby cichlid

Too late. The Oscar is missing a chunk of his top fin.

Yeah, best to rehome him quick. Aside from aggression, if the oscar ends up with a bacterial infection or something, Huffy would be a LOT harder to treat.
