Just bought a stars and stripes puffer .. feeding him?

I just bought a stars and stripes puffer,, will he be ok if i feed him frozen squid and shrimp from kroger.. or is there something else he needs for a proper diet?

It has been a long time but I thougth a stars and stripes puffer was a SW fish? If we are talking about the same SW fish he would like shrimp, clams, snails and squid.
But if you are talking about a FW puffer I would assume it would be small fish and/or snails.

We use Vita chem to soak their food to cover any defeciencies that diet might have. I believe they have a salt water variety which would be more appropriate
