the fight for tank boss status

i just re-did my display tank in my front room. black beauty sand, 35lbs of lava rock, and a new stock list. at first i was thinking of making a mexican biotope so i went with my pair of h.bartoni, ex cichlasoma grammodes, and ex cichlasoma salvini. then i decided that my festaes would look nice in there too, so that threw off the biotope. the festae come from ecuador. any ways here are some vids that were taken as soon as the fish hit the water.

JMO....I would add more rocks of some different color, and some tall or long wood.

grammdes kept getting the upper hand everytime they lock.

neither one quit so i dont know who won. every now and then they square of but they have stopped fighting. that only went on for the first 30-45 mins. everyone has established their home now. the bartoni did keep the cave they were fighting over but the grammodes will still swim by and let them know they can take it if they want it. its like a soap opera

i just had to move the salvini out. she was in there wrecking havoc and had everyone at the top of the tank. those fish are really underestimated.
