  • species specific? or community?

so while im working on getting my troph tank (so close), im wanting to improve my geo tank. right now its a community and ive been slowly breaking it down to make it just geos...

what ive gotten rid of so far:

    tiger barbs
    birchir
    raphael cats
    fancy plecos

    what i still have:
    archer fish
    fire eel
    clown loaches

here is my question, the archer fish are going for sure but im attatched to my fire eel and my clown loaches, should i keep them or should i get rid of everything non geo and make it pure geophagus tank...let me know what yall think...

and shooting myself in the head is not an option on this poll lol
    25
keep fire eel and clown loaches
    64.00%
    16
get rid of em and make it pure geo

dude, keep the 6" clown loach for sure. ones that size go for between 30& 40 bucks at lfs

i say keep the 6" clown aswell, they are good cleaners and take a LONG time to reach that size.

i need some loaches for my 75g, the freaking mts are taking over!
i turn out the lights and BAM!
within 15 minutes ive got 300+ mts all over the glass.
          they keep multipling too

i am going to pickup like 5 clown loaches.

and maybe some botia striata for the 29g, ive noticed a few tiny mts in there.

a 6" clown loach can handle the big mts, while the little ones can take care of the smaller ones.

I say you should give the clown loaches and the fire eel to the hansome guy who bought your ornate and raphaels (wink wink)

I got a 4-5 inch clown...he gets moved around alot...but then, I have snails in every tank but 3....He doesn't seem to mind the moves either. just grab his cave, with him inside, pull out of tank(water holds up inside cave) and put him in whatever tank I need some more snail control in. He doesn't mess with any of my guppy fry, or my plecos...so I think he'll be around for awhile...he was a Walmart floor rescue...the one in the POTM pic...got to love Waldo!
