My jeweled cichlids just layed a bunch of eggs. I want to try to keep as many as possible, but they are in my south american tank with my oscars, texas, and green terrors. should I remove the rock that they layed the eggs on and move it to another tank or just let nature take its' course?

man, jewels are fierce when it comes to defending their young.
they should be able to ensure that some survive.
do you have any plecos or catfish in the tank?
that will be your main problem.
the plecos or catfish will eat them while the parents are sleeping.
if you have nocturnal bottom feeders, then yes i would remove the rock with the eggs and put it in a 10g tank with 50watt heater and an airstone.
then when they hatch add an air driven sponge filter and feed them finely crushed flake.
and do daily 50% water changes.FRENCH FRY!!!

yes, when the fry become free swimming they will likely get sucked up.
what i always did when my green terrors had fry i would put panty hose over the intake of my filters.
this way i wouldnt have to worry about the fry getting sucked up.FRENCH FRY!!!
