i'll do my best, i had a fun run with trophs, aswell as manyo others, but i always comeback to geos, i dont know why, i have kept and raised over 40 different sp of geos, and bred 20+ different sp.

they are just amazing and capitvating, i want to start breeding them again, i got my hands on a pair of red head tapajos (Thanks Mark!)

and those will be my main goal to breed.

nobody really breeds these in houston, so i am going to try to get more geos out there available to purchase thru local breeding.

alot of lfs dont bring geos in do to lack of color at a young age which makes them hard to sell.

i belive if enough people start to keep them then word will spread of their amazing adult color and forms, and they will be more common locally

i will get back into trophs once i move out to my own place, i have to wait for the economy to pick up and the hiring freezes to lift on the engineering field and then i can get a new job in 3d modeling and design and can move out on my own.

i have this degree and cant get a job do to hiring freezes, it really sucks.

but i think it will all work out.

once i get my own appmt, i will get another 75g and keep my 2x favorite trophs, bulu points, and Brichardi Malagarasi, and will upgrade the geos to a 210g 7ft.

thats my intended goal.

amazing dude, i couldnt tell if it was a brachybranchs or an abolios but the one showing the extreme red on the fins is GORGEOUS! Cant wait to grow the red heads out and breed em....thanks again for the trophs, i LOVE em.

Nice Brian, just follow your feelings... now sugestions:
1. pfs +white limestones = , try replacing the limestones with some dark river rocks.
2. You need something green man, i'm not sure if anubias attached to the driftwood or maybe to another small driftwood or a piece of manzanita. If you want some valisneria you know where i am, but this time bring your camera :furious:!

i kinda like the neutral colors of your scape because i picture the geos bigger and their colors just POPPING!...but maybe some darker rocks and more driftwood would be nice too. and some green like miguel said. i got a bunch of **** you might like at my crib.

i have tried the live plants thing more times then i can cound on my 11 toes,lol

so im done with that.
hobby lobby is getting jacked outta some plants tommarrow

anywho, i was thinking the same thing about the rocks, they blend in way to well and it ruins the contrast im going for.

i dont want anymore hardscape then whats in here, i like them to have as much open sand sifting area as possible.

but yes, floating plants and a couple anchored ones aswell and a few nice dark rocks, and walla!

Hey, I know its a journey to my house, but i have 5 or 6 artificial plants from Fish Gallery (the really nice ones) and about 100lbs of dark grey river stones (all of them are the size of a softball, some bigger). Anyway, I am never gonna use it cuz I have Tangs but if you need it, come get it. You've hooked me up before.....

yeah, last i checked 10-9, it keeps going back and forth.
dont get me wrong, trophs are cool, but geos were the first sa cichlids i ever bred, and i have have had them and bred many different kinds for 5 years off and on, they are amazing!
