  • newscape on my 180 with the black beaty sand...

just picked up 200#'s of the black beauty yesterday morning and took me like 3 hours to clean it then scooped it all up and took out my white gravel and rescaped it...

    any suggestions?

i would do driftwood with those cichla instead of rocks. its safer for them since they wont risk getting cut or scraped. it looks nice though but it just reminds me of a troph tank.

Ok we haven't had one of these in a little while and I know we have more pbass owners by the minute around here :). But let's show off the tank set-ups ladies and gentlemen... From big to small tabks to ponds, its always nice to see who's doing what Glenn

Looks good...I too, have a suggestion....you might consider raising the intake tube/strainer of that FX5....that close to the sand, your bound to find some in the filter when you go to clean it....

But the tank and sand look great....thanks for posting....

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

I kind of like it. Something about the rock formation is throwing me off but I cant put my finger on it....maybe the rocks are kind of small for that size of a tank to just be laying around independently...not sure....
