Finally! I was waiting to see how this turned out!

It looks AWESOME! Much better than I thought. And the tangerine looks completely natural with your selection of fish, lighting, and scape. Very impressed.

That came out really good, what did you use and how difficult was it to strip off blue paint?

We also painted half of each side of the tank black, which came out great. Im a big fan of painting half the sides now that Ive seen it on two different tanks. It helps hide filter equipment and heaters when viewed from the sides, and makes the fish feel more comfortable....plus we painted around a stick on thermometer and it looks very custom.

It was pretty easy to strip the paint.. Razor and a can of spray on paint stripper

                  * I think this was the can we used, theres only 3 kinds at the lowes by me. Only 1 can is needed you will hardly use any.

Dont over spray with this stuff, keep it away from the edges/seals. After about 3-5min the paint comes right off with the razor. A little messy, but not hard... Just do the good prep with blue painters tape & brown paper they sell at lowes in the paint section to cover the rest of the tank & your garage floor so you can clean up the mess with ease.

yah.. They have been already. The pike is picking them off. He already picked off about 20 rummy nose & 12 ember tetra. No big deal, it was expected. It was time to move on to some bigger nicer looking fish. Looking forward to seeing them grow.

i like the scape, and the fish look really healthy, but those apistos and rams are a BAD idea!
they will be killed by your bigger sa ca cichlids, espescially the vieja, firemouth, pike, and chocolate.

heck even the ges could very likly kill them.

i know this from experience, i had rams in my 75g geo tank when i was 17, and they were killed within 1 month.

I never thought I'd say this... but I like your tangerine background.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I was at Walmart last night looking at paint and I almost picked out a brighter orange. I'm glad I didnt get it cuz everyone would think I was copying you. LOL. I picked out a really cool color that I'm not ready to reveal just yet. The tank looks great. What kind of light are you using? Length? Bulbs? etc...
