  • South American tetra and cory advice!!!!

"Someone" has suggested that I enter my geo tank in the next contest (not even sure which one it is). Anyways, should I stay with the lemons or go with something else. Obviously, they CANNOT be red because that would take away from the geos. Also, what would be some REALLY cool cories that would compliment the tank as well. All advice or suggestions appreciated!!!

I would either stick with the lemons or go with diamond or black phantom tetras.

For cories swartz, panda, or sterbais would look clean.

Went with 20 diamonds yesterday but they are not "popping" like I would want them to =C Maybe they just need a few more days to start shimmering or I need to switch out some whites for actinics. Im looking high and low for lazer cories but cant find anymore right now.

Call Houston aquatic in the heights.
He can or should be able to get them.

Donnie at city pets couldnt get them?

You need more white and 67k range for the diamonds.

I have tek 6 bulbs with 4 white and 2 actinics. Now here's the big question...... 20 green lazer cories or orange ones for half the price? They are both EXPENSIVE

Also the tetras cannot be orange or red. They need to contrast against the geos.

Do you still have any orange ones left?

I'd go with the orange either way. One of the most common cories is the aeneus, which is predominately green. And many have a green tint to them, as well. But for all I can think of right now, you don't find many species out there with bright orange.

Green fire tetras are pretty cool, although they have red on their tails and aren't really rare, well, aren't rare at all. ) I'll keep thinking about it.

I'm trying to think of some good tetras. . . I recently went with Colombians. They're great, are predominantly blue, but have red on the fins.

I do like lemons and black phantoms, too.
Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids." )

Ok, after trying a few different variants, the decision has been made. Update to the original thread soon.
