They started eating the wiggillies. So I pulled them. there are a few left still alive. hope I can keep them that way...

Maybe 3 dozon. its hard to say but over half is gone. But it was their first time. they will do better next time.

Any chance they'll get sucked into the filter? Can you put a sponge prefilter on there without disturbing them too much?

There is no chance of being sucked away. it was turned of the day the spawn on it.
