I have always wanted to have a tank with a pair of jaguar cichlids or atleast one awsome male. I was wanting to know how big a tank I would need, and where could I get some good quality fish from around town?

I would do at least a 30g long if they are juviniles but a 55g would be better starting off....when they get larger I would say from a 75g to a good 6footer.
Mike has a pair I believe at his shop and at the last shop they had tons of babies so check with him in the retail section.700g Mini-Monster tank -

Mike's Jaguar's right now have babies :) They look awesome :) I talked to him Monday and he said they where free swimming now and going around the tank.
What fish do Jesper have

I believe Mike's Jaguar that have young are his personal Jaguars. I dont believe they are for sale.

EK I believe you are correct :) I think he is prolly going to grow them out and then sell them :)
I will be up on Saturday to his store to pick up some supplies I ordered from him, so I will see them again :)

I will have to go by and see Mike about the babies. But I have seen this tank at Petsmart that is best i recall 150 gallons. It is 4' wide and just big. Will that work for full grown or will I need a 6' tank?Comment

I'd say bigger is better, and I would think that 6' 120 would be better than a 4' 150.So many things can be a mystery, when all we're seeking is freedom...
