Re: ram fry - NEED HELP

yes, i learned the lesson, i should have moved them while they were all together and not free swimming, today they have all been slowly eaten as they became free swimming as they started going all over the tank, the 2 or 3 that i did manage to get out are still alive in the other little tank, i doubt they will survive, but we will see, i am trying to think if i should move the parents to the 6.6 gallon tank by themselves and see if they spawn, but i am also thinking there is something in my tank that is working well for them and they might not spawn in a different environment, although the other tank has water from my main tank, can't decide what the best course of action to be able to save the next spawn, if i could move them to 6.6, then i can easily remove them when they spawn, what do you guys think?

I would leave the parents where they are for now.  Clean up the 6.6 put some gravel like your main tank, get some plants going in there and add one flat stone.  If you have additional funds I would say try and see if you can a 10g because they will breed in one of those for sure (if worried about size of tank) and use your 6.6g as a grow out tank when the time comes.
Try an imitate the main tank and see what happens
