Finishing up the 125

So many of you know I bought a 125 and while I was watering it up it cracked, I think it was because the tile where the stand was was very uneven on one corner. So yesterday I drove an hour to fish land to pick up a new stand and tank. I think I found a better spot for the tank, just waiting for it to finish and then start up the fx5. Anyone have any ideas of how to make my cycle faster? I can add Media from me 20long. But I doubt it'll be enough for the 125.
I'm not sure how I feel about the scape either. Any critiques please.

Got it. I took out the motor and rinsed it and works Now. Now the wait begins.

Looks good. Be sure to feed the tank while it cycles, don't do water changes until nitrites are 0, and be patient. What are you planning to keep?

A mixture of African cichlids. If I feed won't the food just collect in the sand And get nasty over time?

Yes, and it will feed the bacteria. Once nitrites are 0 and nitrates are rising, do a large WC and vacuum the food out

+1 on bac bottle. I would go light on stocking to start with, then gradually add fish.

Here she is all filled up and running. Going to order my current led + tonight,it'll make a huge difference in the tank. Do most people start off with there fish small? Or do you all buy them already medium sized?
