I'm a member of SD. I'm on there as much as here it seems. I know that there's a bunch of people here in houston who raise discus. It would be cool i could see how they do things in person.

Looks like a good start, Chef. While they're little try to get them to eat as many varied foods as possible. The less finicky they are, the more it will pay off in the long run.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Thanks for the tip mark. That's great advice and I do adhere to a varied diet like pellets, blood worms (prefer blackworms but harder to get), but most importantly I feed them a seafood and BH mix. Since I cook for a living I have a pretty good recipe. The big and little guys love it. As shy and skittish as they are, they recognize me and will feed from my hand. Gotta luv em!
