how many oscars

i have a 30gal & i was wondering if i could keep 2 oscars or is that too mutch.
i already have one & he is lonley.

He's going to need a bigger tank soon! I think the smallest recommended for 2 oscars is a 75 gallon.

Agreed. A 75 may be the smallest for two asdult oscars.

agreed,  I tried to keep a mated pair of Oscars in a 29 and lost them.

The two I have now are in a 68g and if the circulation stops they get a little distressed.

Also, the smallest recommended tank for a single oscar is 55 gallons.

I had someone come into my store and tell me they had an oscar in a bowl!!!!!  I just about flipped...  They upgraded to an eclipse 5 gallon.

I heard second handabout a  chinchilla in a 10 gallon aquarium.. Thats cruelty.. I'd have called the humane society.

Some people think animals are decorations. I wish they would all realize its a hobby and a responsibility.

they had no idea what they had. probably got it at Wal-mart..

They said they had "some stripy fish" and i figured tiger barb. then they walked by the oscar tank and told me thats what they had... I told them how big they got, what kind of tank they need, even fed a little rosy red to them to show what kind of fish they had.   they just smiled vacantly and nodded.
