If you dont rinse it before using it.. yes it can be cloudy at first..
If you feel your tank has more of a white haze to it.. that is a bacteria bloom and will go away after a few days / week

What color is the water ?
If its a haze of white / gray then you are looking at a bacteria bloom. You can have this problem if you have to many fish in your tank compared to the filtration.
What size tank, filters etc you have ? Can you give us a little more about your setup because it will go a long way to figuring out what we need to help you with :)
Fill out this form:
1. Tank size. If you dont know the gallon amount then list the size of the glass
2. Filters -- how many, what kind
3. Fish -- how many and what kind -- pictures are good :)
4. How often do you give your fish at least a 25% water change (50+ is better but not a requirement if you do them often)
