Throw price out the window for a minute.. if you were to buy a wet/dry filter system that was rated for double the capacity of your tank, would it filter any better/same as/or less than a homemade one?
I dunno how to be more specific, but, I was thinking about building one, but really I'm more concerned about the quality of the filter than the price of it, if the home made ones can be built with a higher capacity then I'll do it, but if a store bought one would end up filtering better then obviously that would be the way for me to go.
if I did a home made one I'd use a 20 gallon tank if thats helpfull in any way for determining capacity.
