      +1 on using an eheim canister for your filter. are you going brackish with this?

        yes i am going brackish with this tank, sponge might be covered by plants and such so you wouldnt notice it..i dun feel like spending that much on a filter..

          i think im still going to pick up that sponge today and i maybe the canister later if i can get my hands on it from my brother! lol. run both at the same time = better!!

                  I liked having the wood in it...ie Mangrove. Except I would have layered them in on one side to create a more substantial grouping of roots and to give it that cross-sectional look withe the mangrove bank on one side and open water on the other.

                    as of right now, im soaking the branches in water so it wont be such a mess again. i might put them back in if there is no coloration in the bucket; i hate doing water changes because of that.
