If this is the tank in your signature, you have some big, messy fish in there. The main purpose of doing water changes is to remove nitrates from the water. You could have 8 Aquatech 60s on there and still they would just be moving the water and providing a place for the bacteria that turn waste into nitrates to colonize. So, usually water changes are done when nitrate levels begin to rise. Grab a test kit at an LFS and begin to test your nitrates daily after you do a regular water change. When they go above a certain level (some use 20, some use anything above 0) it is time for a water change. It really just depends on what you are willing to do and, most of all, what the fish need in order to stay healthy. Some are more sensitive to nitrates and other wastes in the water. Yours don't seem to be of the more sensitive groups, so I would say 20ppm would be a good guideline for when to do a water change."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

imo, doing a wc every 4 days would be good, i have a young adult pair of gold saum terrors, a subadult male lyonsi, and a pair of sajicas in my 125g, and all im runnign atm is a auqatech 60and an airstone.
and all of my levels are in check, i do a 60% wc every 5 days, and i never have any problems, i am gunna upgrade my filtration, but i am strapped right now, lol
the best thing to do is test your water daily or every other day, and that tells you when is best to do a wc.
i still test every 3 days, for any abnormalities, better safe then sorry.
but yeah with the tank busters you have and the somewhat limited space, and honestly lacking filtration, i would do atleast a 60% wc every 4-5 days with a full gravel vacing and 60% wc every other week.
those fish produce a heavy bioload regardless of filtration, but if you keep your filters cleaned, and keep on regular wc's, you should be fine. that is until the aggression sets in, and you start having to sepereate fish, which trust me it will happen in such a small tank.FRENCH FRY!!!
