is it possible to keep a single green terror in a 29 gallon with alot filtration? i cant really fit a bigger tank in my room and i want a fish that is pretty big and colorful. convicts, i really dont like lol. so is it possible to keep a full grown green terror by itself in a 29? or how about a flowerhorn? can i get away with it? lol.

i would say go for it i kept my RD in a 29 gallon for about 2 yrs and he was okay he was jus really mean....normally fish know for aggression (green terror, midas, flowerhorns, ect.) are really really mean when given a tank to thereselfs especially the flowerhorn...but after you put the green terror in there and hes in there for a couple months alone i highly doubt you will eva be able to put another fish in there with him unless hes jus a really nice non territorial fish

absolutely not. Your Green Terror will outgrow that tank within 6 months. I would say the smallest you could go is a 55g tank but if it were my fish, i would not go smaller than a 75g. Just my opinion.If it ain't wild caught

A 29 is a small tank. I am going to agree with others here.. You really want to put him in a 4ft tank as soon as you can. They grow to be a substantial size.

you can but not for too long....most gts ive seen today grow super slow and end up not eating food....but ive heard some say that theirs grew faster....I guess it depends also on what kind of green terror you have aswellHALA MADRID!!!!

What you could do, if indeed he is small now.....keep him for a few months until he starts to get about 4 inches, then trade him at your favorite LFS for another small one, and maybe a bag of food?

I kept a GT (and pl*co) for 3 1/2 years in a 29 gal. Raised him from 2" to 9" before he got too big. I traded him at my LFS for credit and bought food and conditioner. He was one of my family's favorite fish. He was later purchased by Pappa's Seafood House on 59N and I've been able to visit him there whenever I eat there. (I haven't been there in a while, I should swing by soon.)

picked me up a 60 gallon today for my fishies!! if he gets too big, ima probably throw him in here with my flowerhorn and parrotfish. tank gonna be setup tomorrow and fish might go in a few days after that. o.oComment

I started my white sahm terror in a 29 but he was like 2" long. He stayed there for a few years. Now he is in a 55 with his mate - I love these guys! To watch him re arrange his tank is priceless.1 - 29 gal - Breeding Pair Green Terror w/fry
