        ok, a semi-update....

I am going to make a thread about the tank when I get my pictures transferred to my comoputer, and I also wanted to have it done before I put the thread up, so it would be a 'start to finish' thing. Along the way I've had a tremendous amount of help from the people I've met through HFB, and I just want everyone to know that I really apprecite it.

As for now- it's 3/4 full of water, with both filters running and no leaks, and waiting for the driftwood to decide to sink. I put the first fish in tonight, and we'll see how it goes, and then I'll start adding slowly (I would have put a few in tonight, but I dont have a net to catch them with! I don't know where I put it)

Anyway, thanks to those who have helped... pictures and story soon to follow

geezz... Randall no faith in our craftsmanship? I mean I know we had just left the game, but...this is fish and her living room...

Eileen I am very glad to know that there were no leaks.

Was the lava rock good and clean, it was hard to tell outside in the dark...

I guess you guys did a great job washig it out, because I didn't notice any red in the tank at all. I waited a few days before adding the sand, because I figured if there was any red, it would suck to have it mixed in with the sand. I havn't see ANY red at all.... but then again I have no lights on the tank and can hardly see into it

I moved Almost Dead Fish into it last night, because he was in far worse condition that before... looks like one of the plecos was taking advantage of ADF's semi-vegitative state and chewed up his side. He's still alive.. kinda, so I added a couple more and we'll see how they do.

I still can't beleive I didn't get a picture of you guys and your acrobatics at Home Depot.... that was incredible )

yes but how often will she be opening all this up for cleanings? i think the carbon will be doing harm by the time she drags a 2260 out to the backyard...

do you have plenty of good valves before and after the eheim? i've one that HAS valves before the intake and one that HAS NO valves before the intake and i find that the one without is very difficult for a girly to get started - -they're pretty heavy to tip about, you know.
