  • New Life Spectrum Marine Sinking food ingredients. What are they?

I have tried looking on net for the ingredients that are used in the different NLS foods. Is there a big difference, would marine food work for freshwater fish? 5 lb tub on sale for $40.99 from $68.99 any thoughts anybody?

NLS has a small forum and someone asked the same question (more or less) there. They asked if they could feed the Marine formula to their cichlids because their LFS only carries the Marine formula. The answer posted there was:

"All ingredients used in NLS are fairly identical, but the ingredient proportions are different in most formulas. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to feed any one of the various NLS formulas to African cichlids."

I have used it for my Trophs with not a problem.

In my experience so far just about all the New Life Spectrum foods are the same basic foods just more of either veggies or krill or herring is used to make a differt taste and protein makeup.

Thanks for the info Traci and Geoff, I will probably go ahead and order a tub I am almost out of my cichlid formula. With free shipping on orders over $60 and at $41 a tub, not a bad deal.
