When using media from an established tank to start a new one, how long do I wait before adding fish? Thanks!

As long as it takes you to get them! 8)

The seeded media in the new tank will start to starve if no fish or other types of wastes are there to "feed" it. So, since it's already established, it should be able to handle fish immediately. Just use your best judgment and don't use a tiny amount of media to support 18 fully grown tinfoil barbs, or something.

Hard to judge b/c there are a lot of variables. Just use a test kit to be sure.

I notice you live near me. If you don't have a test kit to check the water. I can let you borrow my test kit. If ammonia and nitrite reads zero and you get some kind of reading for nitrate you should be find.

Feeding lightly the next two weeks after putting the fishes in and you are going to be fine.
