I know they are considered to be a food fish by many of the people who live on the river down there. but then again, anything that big probably would be.

besides, the only reason I didn't try it was because at the time I had one in my tank and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I would look for a 96x30x30 (375g) tank. You could go with something as small as a 72x30x30 (270g) tank.
I would wait to see when ADG has another sale on used tanks.. you could get a nice setup for a LOT less than you think.
Filtration. If bottom drilled filtered I would use 2 eheim 2262, of wet dry I would use a pro/clear 400 or one of the bigger 36x18 ADG setups.
I would get a couple of large flow Koralia's modified Maxi-Jets.. You want to have some good water flow.
Again wait to see what is posted from ADG because you can get a setup like what you see above, easily for money less than you expected, you just have to deal with the fact you have clean the tank first etc.. as they are used.

I was talking about tank raised. Wilds would probably be better.

holy lord...get a different fish. LOL. There is no way I could dedicate that much tank space to just 5 fish. just my opinion.
