I had to break it down 3 times to get it primed then i remembered what i was doing wrong

impeller was caked

never again

I smell like fish poop

I judge mine by flow. If it seems slower or weaker I clean it. In your case, you can hardly see the flow. Just need to break it down more often.

I try to clean mine once every 3 months....key word TRY.

I ate my fish that died.

You got to clean them every 3-5 months, otherwise they can go sour on you fast.
