You can reseal it, its not that hard if you take your time. Read my thread on leaking 90 gallon bow front tank. We followed everyones directions to a tee and so far it has shown no signs of leaking.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

You can reseal your tank. I did it and I can assure you I am not a big do-it-yourselfer. LOL

What helped me was using disposable gloves and the blue painter's masking tape to keep a straight edge. Here's what I did to my 180g a few years ago.

I resealed my 180g back in 2004. My Oceanic tank was made in 1985.

I resealed my 4 corners from top to bottom. My bottom glass edges/corners and top edges/corners were fine.

I used a razor blade to remove my silicone. I was careful not to remove the glue holding the glass together..........only the silicone. I used rubbing alcohol to give it a good final cleaning.

I bought the blue masking tape used for painting and ran a straight line from top to bottom on either side of the glass corner (about 1/4" to 1/2"). This will give you a straight, professional looking seal.

I used the GE 1 silicone (the one without any mildew protective agents in it) tubes you can put in a caulk gun. I used some disposable gloves as well and I'll tell you why later on here.

I ran a good size bead from bottom to the top of the tank corner and used my glove-covered finger to smooth it into the corner seam and smooth it out. Don't worry if you run over some because the blue tape will take care of that. As soon as you smooth that bead (and don't take too long as this stuff sets kind of quick) peel off the tape, otherwise it will pull up your silicone as well. You will be left with a straight silicone seal at each of your 4 corners.

I had to re-do a corner because I waited about 2 minutes before pulling the blue painters tape up. No biggie.

The silicone has a strong vinegar smell to it and you have to let it set/cure for 24-48 hours. I let mine cure for 4-5 days just to be sure. When you don't smell the vinegar anymore it's set.

If you are doing the bottom seals you probably don't have to worry about a straight edge since it will be covered by your substrate. If your tank is leaking from the bottom area, I would make sure to remove the old silicone instead of just sealing over the old stuff. I'd remove it, clean it up good and set yourself a good size bead and smooth in into the seams like described above. For the top portions of your tank, I would use clean the same way, set the painters tape line and apply the silicone.

If you can, water test by filling it back up with water and letting it set for a few days.

Best of luck. Hope this helps you out.
