  • Blind EBJD feeding?

I got him from aquashelle, who recieved them from armthehomeless. He is eating fine and well, right now but I'm afraid he isn't getting what he needs. He's sniffing out my dainichi pellets off the bottom of the tank but IDK if dainichi is enough for him. He is very light in color, as well. I don't know if this is bad or just kinda is.

    Suggestions?
College = fishless for now. Vicarious living!

I have been hand feeding mine meaty food, perhaps try that?
Currently fishless, but a proud mama to a musk turtle hatchling.

Fish respond to sound. Perhaps try the hand feeding while lightly splashing at the surface of the tank. In time the fish should learn that the splashing means feeding time and find his way to your hand.

or use garlic drops. You can find it in Saltwater section stuff. just put a drop in before each feeding.

When I had the EBJDs in my possession, I had them eating a combination of flake and NLS 1mm kcichlid pellets. I put the flakes into the water (to get them to sink). The blind dempseys seemed to recognize thatfood was beiing fed when I stuck my hand in the water. Also keep in mind that the EBJD is not completely blind . . . at least to the best of my knowledge. He seemed to notice changes in light.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
