  • Storing Wood

I have some wood I took out of my tank and was wondering how I should store it. I've got it sitting in a bucket of water at the moment because I wasn't sure if I wanted it to dry out or not; does that even matter? How do you guys store your decorative wood once it's been in a tank?

BTW, I have no idea what kind of wood it is; it's redish-brown, and smelled like chocolate when I sawed it in half before I put it in the tank...

You can dry it out. You may have to soak it a bit before it will naturally sink again.
