  • T5 Bulb Combinations

I am about to buy some new t5 bulbs for my 2 dual 36" 21w coralife fixtures.

the old ones on there were one 10k and one actinic on each. i didnt get to see it when they were still working so i still dont know the difference.

i was told actinic had the most blue, and that i should get 1 21w 10k and 1 21w deepwater on each fixture.

    whats a good combo?

this is goin on my 125g

Sup Tony, you should keep it the way it is with one 10,000k and one actinic in each fixture. If this is what you're looking for as far as a return output tube, City Pets carries it http://www.marinedepot.com/U_Tube_wi...FIFTRP-vi.html

Inwood aquarium carries an Odyssea brand that I think may do 3/4"-1" outputs. The link up there has a choice of 1/2"-3/4" or 3/4"-1". The one at Inwood was pretty cheap, around $5-$6.

I don't know the bulbs by name, but my tank has two bulbs at either end. I have two white bulbs at the back of the tank and two blue ones in the front. It makes the water look a little blue and the blue fish really pop. The demasoni would look nice.

Here is my 150 build thread. Start on page 2.

If you watch to the end of this video, you can see my 150 with the hood up. Decent shot of the lighting.
